Changing your password
To change your password simply log into the change password page and fill in the
fields 'Old password', 'New password' and 'Confirm new password' then click 'Change
my password' button. The application will change your Uninet and EnrolOnline password
and inform you if any issues occurred during the change password process.
Setting up my question and answer pair
Step 1 . As a student, you have the opportunity to setup
a self service password reset account which allows you to reset your password in
the event that you have forgotten it by answering predefined questions and answers.
To setup this account, you can click on the link 'Setup my password reset account'
located in your MyUnisa Resource page as highlighted in the image above or alternately;
You can go to the change password page and click on the link 'Click here to setup
your self service password reset account' as highlighted in the image above to go
to the setup questions and answer page.
Step 2 . Now that you are on the setup for online password
reset page there are two areas on the page you will need to populate. The first
step is to create your question (Step 1 in the image above).
There are two choices available in regards to how you would like to create your
question. You can either create your own custom question by selecting the radio
button 'Create my own question' or select from a pre-defined list of questions by
selecting the radio button 'Choose a predefined question'.
By clicking on the 'Create my own question' radio button a text box will appear
next to the radio buttons ready for you to type in your question.
By clicking on the 'Choose a predefined question' radio button a drop down list
will appear with a selection of possible questions for your to choose.
Answering the question you have created/chosen is done at Step 2 (highlighted in
the image above). Just enter your answer in the two fields and make sure they are
greater than 6 characters. The answer you enter must be the same in both fields
and is not case sensitive.
Finally, click 'Save my question and answer' to save your question and answer pair.
If there is anything missing the page will highlight the areas that need to be corrected.
Opting out from the service
Step 1. If you wish to opt out from the self service password
reset facility make sure you understand that by doing so, you will not be able to
reset your password in the event that you have forgotten it. To access the opt out
page, you must first enter the setup for self service password reset page by clicking
on the link 'Click here to setup your self service password reset account' as highlighted
in the image above to go to the setup questions and answer page.
Step 2. Now that you are on the setup for online password
reset page you will notice a link in the second sentence on the page referring to
opting out from the service. Click on the link 'opt out from this service'.
Step 3. The final step in opting out is to make sure you
read the conditions outlined and then check the tick box and click on the button
'I wish to opt out from this service'. If however, you wish to cancel this option,
you can click on 'Return to online password reset'.
IMPORTANT: If you have opted out and wish to opt back into this
service all you need to do is setup a new question and answer pair.
Resetting my password
Step 1. To reset your password you need to ensure that you
have setup your self service password reset account.
In order to proceed with your password reset, you will need to verify your identity.
Fill in the fields 'Username' and 'Student ID' and ensure you have read and understood
the policy agreement then tick the check box and submit your request. Make sure
your enter you 'Student ID' correctly by entering all the digits shown on your student
Step 2. The next page will display your pre-defined question
(eg 'Secondary School name') and provide two text boxes for you to enter your answer.
The text in the answer text boxes are hidden so make sure you enter them correctly
as you only have 3 chances to get them right. If they do not match you will be prompted

There is also an additional question you will need to answer before proceeding to
reset your password. Please make sure you take note of the required format you need
prompted when you enter a badly formatted date.
NOTE: There is a 5 minute session timeout. If there has been no
activity for more than 5 minutes then any submissions after that period will automatically
be rejected and you will need to re-enter your 'Username' and 'Student ID' in the
Step 3 . The final step in the reset password process
is for you to enter your new password into the text boxes provided. If there are
any issues during your password reset, please follow the on-screen prompts.
